About

amazinsellers is an ambitious little community of eCommerce entrepreneurs, consisted mainly of beginners or ‘yet-to-begin’ners.

As a community we hand-hold each other towards a successful first year in business, and support each other in day-to-day doubts on running an eCommerce business.

We want to be the torchbearers of the UK’s home-grown brands.

Our vision is to empower entrepreneurs with a low-risk eCommerce business journey by learning through networking and peer support.

The Problem We’re Solving

Almost every “worker” in our society has a dream of building a business and be their own boss. That includes 1000s of home-makers. Increasing number of these ambitious people are seeing eCommerce as a viable option to escape the routine, but 80% of them get stuck in the initial phases for a number of reasons: lack of digital knowledge, fear of risk, not enough funding reserves, lack of peer support, overwhelming amount of information online and more.

Our solution

Networking. Socialising is the most primitive and effective way of human learning. And that is our belief system. We organise meetup events every month in London, providing the community a great opportunity to learn from each other. Repeat visitors are a norm, that we know each other’s business problems and exchange solutions. Also, we get experienced entrepreneurs to share how they succeeded and still cruising. All this as a free event, powered by small business service providers, handpicked by the organisers and the members.

Our Values

Openness: We operate with an open ledger (https://opencollective.com/amazinsellers-small-medium-ecommerce-entrepreneurs).

Value first: We do/will not charge our members for anything anytime, except covering personal expenses like meals. We do/will create a sustainable ecosystem of service providers and entrepreneurs to keep this going - with the values of a charity, with the spirit of a business.

Personal Support: We help each other with various initiatives with opportunities to meet members including experienced entrepreneurs in person.

 Our Mission

…is to become a startup hub that supports, grows, and scales eCommerce businesses focussing on marketplace channels, mainly Amazon FBA.

Achievements

  • A 500+ strong member base in the London meetup community, rapidly expanding. Conducted 12 meetup events so far since 13-Apr-2018
  • Fully run by community
  • Initiatives in progress: Co-working, Women-only networking events, Community-lead incubation programmes for starters

Our Goals

In the next 3 years, we want to:

  • Become a 10,000 strong member base in London meetup group
  • Expand into Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds.
  • Witness at least 30 successful entrepreneurs grooming out from the community and constantly providing the value back to the community.

In essence, we are going against the tide of eCommerce business service providers, course providers, the gurus. We treading our own pragmatic, fair, and ethical approach to realise the entrepreneurial dreams of our members - slowly and humbly, one step at a time.

Sidenote

amazinsellers was founded by Premkumar Anand in Apr’18, an eCommerce enthusiast, along with his wife, Sharanya Vivek, to learn about Amazon FBA from others in the market. With an ignited passion for communal learning, it is now directed by Premkumar, and the community leads the events and initiatives. It is a so far non-profitable unregistered (yet) organisation.
