Community Action Against Holiday Hunger
Published on October 24, 2020 by Arthur's Hill Mutual Aid

The UK Government has surrendered all responsibility + humanity for hungry children in England. Unlike government Arthurs Hill + Elswick Mutual Aid won't let kids in the community go hungry at half-term. No one needs to go without food. We're taking direct action + organising free lunches for kids again, like we did when the government neglected kids back in May - https://opencollective.com/elswick-mutual-aid/updates/half-term-pack-lunch-scheme-in-excess-of-560-meals-given-out?

We'll be handing out food at Westgate Academy + Hawthorn Primary School between 12 - 2 every day next week over half-term. If you know any bakeries, cafes or restaurants that could help make up around 120 portions of the savoury main meal part of the lunch let us know! Lots of people have offered to help cook + distribute already + we've been collecting donations here -https://opencollective.com/elswick-mutual-aid/events/community-action-against-holiday-hunger-d6ad077d?

Books + magazines to keep kids entertained over half term will be handed out too : )

In solidarity,

Arthurs Hill Mutual Aid
