About
Blockathon is inspired by the Devathon and ten.java Bukkit programming contests. Neither of these contests survived very long and they were only focused on the Java Edition of Minecraft. Fast forward to 2021 while everyone is in and out of lockdown and Minecraft could not be more popular, especially the Bedrock Edition of the game.
As we are near the end of the year, Blockathon 2021 will only have one contest: a Bukkit programming contest, like Devathon and ten.java. Next year there will be more time to plan and there will be contests in different areas as well as involving Bedrock Edition!
