Chimine Arfuso

Dr. Chimine Arfuso is a one-and-a-halfer Cuban-American, decolonial/feminist scholar/activist. She has centered her experiences as the victim of a violent rape by a serial rapist as a teenager, being the daughter of a Cuban refugee, and as the single mother of twins to fuel her scholarship and outreach. She has given lectures at institutions such as the University of California, Davis, Fresno State University, and the University of Nazerbayev in Kazakhstan. She recently finished her PhD. at California Institute of Integral Studies focusing on intersections between Latina and Black Feminism, Reproductive Justice, Autohistoria-Teoría/Autotheory, and Decolonial Research Methodology.
