What Happened in July?
Published on August 3, 2026 by Lucie Anglade

Hello!

During July, we worked on an old WeasyPrint issue: box-shadow! It’s the 13th issue on GitHub 🤯.
If you can’t wait for a next main release, you can have a look at the related pull request and give it a try 😄.

Speaking of pull requests, most of our time in July was about dealing with opened pull requests. 45 had been closed, some had been merged.

We noted an increase of pull requests since the begining of the year. In 2025, we got 95 pull requests on WeasyPrint. This year, we got our 95th pull request this month.

We then decided to limit to 1 the number of pull request per user and added guidelines for contributors in our Code of Conduct 📜.
We also wrote an article to talk about this increase and how they affect us.

And of course, the Journey Book entry of July has been published!
