Hello!
In March, we made several releases:
In March, we made several releases:
- tinyhtml5 2.1.0: tinyhtml5 now allows useless parameters for all HTML input streams which fixes an issue in WeasyPrint.
- Flask-WeasyPrint v1.2.0: Flask-WeasyPrint uses the new URL fetcher and now requires WeasyPrint v68.0 at least.
- CairoSVG 2.9.0: this is a security release to limit the rendering of recursively nested use tags.
That’s all for the releases this month 🎉
On the WeasyPrint side, we worked on generating wheels for Windows and MacOS 🧀️.
We’re interesting in having feedback about these wheels so we can use them for next versions. If you have some time to give them a try and tell us how it goes, that’d be helpful!
Also this month, the video of Guillaume’s talk at the PyConFR 2025 has been published on PyVideo. He spoke about the developer job: are we paid to only write code?. The talk is in French 🇫🇷
And to finish this update, we published two blog posts: the Journey Book entry of this month and an article about why we don’t add type annotations. Happy reading!
