Making Support Accessible for Families Who Need It Most

Thank you for being here and taking the time to learn about Eaglevision.
Families raising children with chronic and complex medical conditions often carry a significant and ongoing burden — emotionally, physically, relationally, and financially.
For many, one parent (often the mother) steps into full-time caregiving, while also navigating medical systems, appointments, and long-term uncertainty. Over time, this can place real strain on a family’s financial stability and overall wellbeing.
In New Zealand, there are supports available, such as the Child Disability Allowance (CDA) and Disability Allowance (DA). These can make a meaningful difference.
However, in reality, these systems can be difficult to understand and navigate — especially for parents who are already overwhelmed and managing the day-to-day care of their child.
This is one of the gaps Eaglevision exists to address.
We have developed a clear, practical guide to help parents and caregivers better understand and access these supports, without adding further stress or confusion.
This guide is currently being reviewed by professionals within the community to ensure it is accurate, accessible, and genuinely helpful.
Our next step is simple: to make this resource available to as many families as possible.
Will you help us get this into the hands of the parents and caregivers who need it most?
Your support helps turn practical resources like this into real relief for families who are already carrying a great deal.
