Expanding EAFC's Accessibility, Communication and Connection

With this project, we will be creating interactive boundaries between Emergent Abundance Farming Collective and the wider community. This is a project that will expand the public’s physical and informational access to critical knowledge. It offers avenues for personal and community empowerment and growth. Through collaboration with the Kennett Library, the EAFC will develop a plant database that will be accessible to the public online.

For a full description, including a project budget in three phases, please follow this link

Through collaboration with the Kennett Library, the EAFC will develop a plant database that will be accessible to the public online and include information such as: growing/farming practices, seed saving techniques, regional and climate adaptations, food ways and cultural knowledge, culinary and medicinal uses. The project will establish two distinct access locations: one in the EAFC field using QR codes on plant signage that link to the database, and the other being the Seed Library at the Kennett Library.

EAFC and the Kennett Library are committed to addressing the many urgent issues of our time such as environmental literacy, food sovereignty, responses to climate change, societal and financial instability, and community empowerment.
