FAVOR wants our community to share in the health benefits of locally-grown food. We aim to invest about $500/week on freshly-harvested fruits and vegetables from Boston Food Hub, the sales arm of Boston Area Gleaners, during the growing season.
$5,000 is definitely a big number, but spread across our 150 member households, it is only $33.33 per family for the whole summer and beyond. For most of us, that's just one day at the Farmer's Market!
