About
The FIRST House is a community center for the political left. The space will act as storage, meeting, event, and training space for mutual aid and direct action groups in so called Columbus. The aim of the project is to create more intentional common spaces to increase logistical capacity and eliminate start up barriers to mutual aid work. We expect that creating shared intentional political spaces will help bring organized groups closer together and in more long term solidarity with each other.
We aim to include groups of all genders, sexuality, and race. We want to build shared infrastructure that can sustain a strong resistance to capitalism. Another goal for this project is to open it up as a warming center once the space is obtained.
