Poetry by Yahya Ashour

Join us for a night of poetry and discussion around Palestine, hosted by the Liberation Collective.  We’re honored to host touring poet and award-winning Gazan author, Yahya Ashour. Yahya survived 6 military aggressions on Gaza and lived through the siege on Gaza. He has been in the US since September 2023, unable to go back home. He will be reading some of his poetry and leading discussion. 

In honor of Black History Month, we welcome local poet Brandon McKay to share his writing, which draws parallels between the Black and Palestinian struggles.
