Claiming from The Guernsey Yes Fund is all about supporting you to quickly and creatively act in the collective interest whilst maintaining your own wellbeing:
There are 3 tests to quickly get to Yes:
The first test: Is this expense in the collective interest of the people in Guernsey? We trust you to invest in our community as a whole through your unique lens on it.
The second test: Does it give you what you need to be a thriving member of the population? We want you to have enough financial resources to provide for your own needs.
The third test: Does it past the 'not being a d*ck' test? The way things are done are just as important as what gets done. Anyone person that does not use this fund in a high integrity way creates a problem for everyone else that goes after you. Please be mindful of how you use the fund.
In the initial phases of The Guernsey Yes fund expenses will only be approved in relation to one prototype project.
The Playground Community Innovation Lab at Sandpiper Vinery. The fund will approve expenses for anyone currently contributing to the development of this site.
The aim is to prove this model of financial governance and then expand it islandwide with the help of existing government and 3rd sector funders.
