About

iseselagbao.com is a new online forum community that serves the practitioners of isese lagba. “Isese” is the ancient indigenous spiritual practice of the Yoruba people of Africa. It is also practiced among the African descendants of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade in the Americas. We serve as a digital safe space for research, discussion, and sharing our way of life. Our platform serves as beacon of light for Isese practitioners, long demonized and persecuted due to colonialism and present day neo-colonialism. As we grow we hope to participate in outreach initiatives to support our community and prevent the destruction of our sacred groves.
