Iwan Doherty

My name is Iwan Doherty and I am a freelance political journalist and political operative. I am the Editor of Mutual Interest Media, a media co-operative and before that, I founded and was the Editor in Chief of the student-run political site The People's News (TPN).

I have written for publications such as The Tribune, Open Democracy, Byline Times and The London Economic as well as many more.

My specialism is economics writing with a particular interest in co-operatives and market socialism. I want co-operatives to be central in economic solutions proposed by the left and therefore I have a keen interest in policies like community wealth building. 

 I've setup this OC to support the writing on my Medium page. This is often on topics that don't get discussed in our media and hopefully go into more detail the average political article normally does. Mainly I'll write about anything interesting or informative that crosses my wires.
