Work on version 2.0 has started!
Published on February 5, 2021 by Martin Mueller

Printing labels in the workshop can greatly reduce errors in handling. But what should be printed on the labels? What if you want to customize the label for a certain type of material?

Our label editor will let you select from a list of fields from the the Parts List including tags, filename, date, ... and place them on a freely customizable label with adjustable fontsize and colors. You will not be limited to preconfigured label dimensions, but the editor lets you configure any label sheet that can be purchased from your local supply shop.

To calibrate your labels, we have included cut marks, so you can print a test page to check the dimensions.

If you need different labels for different tasks, just grab one from your configuration and use it. Printing labels is not limited to material for which we generate cutting diagrams. Labels can also be printed for parts of type Solid Wood, directly from the Parts List.

Check out the screenshots!

Let's get back to work!

Oooh, love it! One question: will there be support for label printers? I happen to own a Dymo LabelWriter 320 which would be perfect for the job. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thomas Brummel, it may be supports labels printers if those printers could be used as a normal printer with just different paper size. But as I do not have any printer like this for test I con't be sur for the moment.

Boris Beaulant: yes, they are treated as normal printers just with paper sizes other than A4 or legal. The 320 supports several label sizes e.g. 89x36mm, 89x28mm or 101x54mm. These correspond to the standard Avery labels 99012, 99010 and 99014. The labels come on a roll and you just peel them off after they have been printed on.

Pour l'imprimante, veuillez regarder ici, par exemple. Et pour les étiquettes, veuillez regarder ici, par exemple. Et comme je disais: merci pour tout!
