COVID Survivors for Change
In June 2020, Love Wins NYC Food Pantry was founded in Jackson Heights, Queens, once the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our mission extends beyond providing food; it's about offering support, hope, and strength to families and COVID-19 survivors.
Over the past three years, COVID Survivors for Change, a project of Love Wins NYC Food Pantry, has served hundreds of families by providing more than 5,000 hours of free mental health support in English and Spanish, and through trainings on advocacy and self-care. Together, we've successfully advocated with partner groups in states across the country for important policies like Paid Family and Medical Leave and financial resources like Baby Bonds for children who lost parents or caregivers to COVID.
Our mission is to provide trauma-informed support for any family impacted by COVID and to advocate for more support and resources for children orphaned by COVID. Your donation of any amount will help ensure that we continue to provide free mental health support and advocate for COVID survivors.
