2022 Update
Published on December 20, 2022 by Alex Rodríguez

What did you accomplish during 2022? How did you use money?

The global Microsolidarity Network had 2 big face-to-face gatherings in 2022, one in Belgium & one in Denver, USA. We have a monthly online meeting for microsolidarity community organising practitioners & we're starting to see small groups of volunteers starting to self-organise to work on various parts of the network: e.g. developing theory, producing a podcast, and researching community-organising technology. We only set up the OC page a couple of months ago so we haven't hosted much activity here yet. We haven't raised a lot of money to spend yet. If you'd like to know more about what went down in Denver, Jordan, Lisa-Marie, and Rich circled up afterwards and recorded their reflections on the gathering.

What challenges did you face during 2022? What did your Collective learn? How did you change or grow?

The main challenge is how to bring in the money required to free up more people's time to do this work.

What are your plans for 2023? Anything exciting coming up?

The first step will be to support the volunteers to get into a good working rhythm, then we can use that as evidence when we go out for a more substantial philanthropic fundraising effort.

We are looking forward to seeing what emerges next in 2023!
