Girls in AI Global - Africa edition

There is a staggering gender gap in the representation of women within the Computer Science field with only 18% females. Even more concerning is that within AI, female representation stands at only 12%.
We are on a path to change this status quo.
Girls In AI is an Acorn Aspirations initiative:
- Five hackathons (London, New York, San Francisco (x2) and Seattle) from October 2018 - June 2019
- In partnership with Microsoft and Mastercard
Worked with over 300 teenage women, over 150 employees, over 20 speakers including
Eric Hovitz (Director, Microsoft Research Labs),
Ece Kamar (Senior Researcher, Microsoft),
Akli Adjaoute (CEO, Brighterion) and many more.
