We're a small team, from completely different walks and means of life, doing this work because it matters. Running a weekly radio show and podcast that celebrates the African Diaspora in NZ, young and old, in all the ways we show up, doesn't happen alone — and funding is what keeps the lights on and things bubbling along. These stories are important. If we don't tell them, if we don't share our experiences, they disappear. 

It takes people and organisations who believe in telling the stories other New Zealanders hear little about — the thinkers, activists, agitators, artists, musicians, storytellers, and writers who make up our community — and who are willing to back that belief with real support.
