Late update on what we got up to in March!
Published on April 19, 2021 by Keira Evans

Happy April everyone! We’re a little late with our March update but we promise we’ve been busy!

With Trans Day of Visibility on at the end of March we were able to raise an amazing £3034! We were blown away with everyone’s generosity and due to it we were able to give out 10 £25 grants and three emergency grants! These grants have helped homeless trans folks buy essentials, pay for transport to gender clinics, and buy food for those who are struggling. We also released two £50 grants towards GoFundMe’s to help trans folks afford surgeries and appointments.

We were super lucky to receive an amazing £640.80 from FiveForFive, a collective crowdfund that focuses on trans fem causes! We’ve planning on using some of this funding to help kickstart Trans Tech Tent, a project started by a group of trans women who aim to help other trans folks with tech related issues such as repairing tech, upgrading and general advice. If you want to find out more, you can reach them here!  https://twitter.com/TransTechTent

Shash (one of our founders) has been super busy in March too! She was featured on Katy Montgomerie’s TDoV stream with a bunch of other amazing trans folks! The stream raised £5,394 MindOut, an LGBTQ mental health charity! Shash also spoke with ILGA-Europe about the struggles trans folks face today and how solidarity can help. You can check both of these things out down here:

Our workshop series have continued, and we held another Trans Life Drawing sessions and a Sex and Relationships workshop! We have two more in April, so be sure to check those out on our Eventbrite!

It’s been fantastic and we’re really looking forward to sharing with you what’s been happening in April!
