The best privacy and security techniques are of no help if there are barriers to using them, or poor usability leads to user mistakes. Good design can help with that. The funding will support various initiatives around design resources (like the Bitcoin Design Guide and Bitcoin UI Kit) and design implementation of new and emerging techniques for privacy and self-sovereignty in the bitcoin ecosystem (such as silent payments, FROST, and covenants).
