About
Help send students from unique 21st Māori Pā Wānanga (Learning Village) to represent their region at National Kapa Haka Competition from 29th October-3rd November 2023.
$500 will sponsor one student to attend from Te Pā o Rākaihautū in Ōtautahi Christchurch, led by Edmund Hillary Fellow Fellow Rangimarie Parata Takurua.
This is the Primary School National Competition and Te Pā is one of three teams representing Waitaha - Canterbury. It will cost about $30,000 for a squad of 44 performers plus staff/tutors to travel to Nelson and stay for 4 days of the competition. This year because it is in Nelson we are also hoping to send some of our secondary team to go and support as well, which will be another $10k.
