This grant supports unhoused, formerly unhoused, and housing insecure Angelenos in need of emergency financial support. Funds will provide relief to people experiencing a crisis, transitioning into housing, or facing eviction.
An array of emergency needs may be covered, including: rent, food, clothing, medical expenses, transportation, vehicle repairs, home repairs, and replacing belongings that are stolen or damaged in a disaster.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be unhoused, formerly unhoused, or housing insecure. As required by law, applicants must be experiencing emergency hardship, including poverty as a result of low income and lack of financial resources; temporarily lacking food or shelter and the means to provide for it; surviving a natural or civil disaster; temporarily losing the ability to be self-sufficient as a result of a sudden and severe personal or family crisis such as a crime or violence.
