FAQ

Is my contribution secure?
Open Collective doesn't store credit card numbers, instead relying on our payment processor, Stripe, a secure solution that is widely adopted. If our systems are compromised, your credit card information is not at risk, because we simply don't store it. Learn more.
Does The Light Inside have a contribution policy?
Thank you for considering making a contribution to The Light Inside.

As part of our fundraising strategy, we are inviting people to donate funds to the film who have a personal connection to the project or are interested in raising awareness around mental illness.

While this is not a traditional Crowdfunding campaign, with rewards and incentives to contribute, we are able to offer credit for your contribution including a special thanks in the film's credits. For people contributing larger amounts (£1,200+), we will discuss further recognition and partnership which can be discussed before or after you make your contribution.

Something we can't offer is a creative direction or hands-on role. Due to the nature of this film, we are working with a small lean team with limited budget and resources. Whilst we still welcome your feedback and insight, we are unable to guarantee you an authoritative voice in the making of the film but we can always guarantee an eager, listening ear.

This film will be carefully crafted and is inspired by lived experience.

If you are contributing over £100 we'd kindly ask you to make the contribution as a BANK TRANSFER, not a card payment. This means we get 100% of your donation and avoid paying the fees when paying with a bank card.

What's the difference between an individual and an organization profile?
Organizations represent a company or entity, while individual profiles represent a person. Organization profiles can have multiple team members (individual profiles) who have access to edit it and make financial contributions in its name. If a contribution or expense is for a company, it's important to use an organization profile so the correct billing information shows up on receipts and invoices. Organizations can also issue gift cards.
What information is shared with the Collectives?
When you contribute to a Collective we share your email address with the Administrators. If you wish to keep your contribution private choose the ‘incognito’ profile. Read our privacy policy.
What is an incognito contribution?
Publicly, the contribution amount and date will be visible in the transparent budget, but your identity will be obscured, appearing only as "incognito". The contribution will not be linked to your public profile.
