AYU Denver is a newer organization to the metro area! Since its start-up in early December 2025, we have hosted two yurt assembly skill shares, three community build days where we build two yurts from scratch, and deployed two yurts to shelter our neighbors during a single-digit cold snap. One of those yurts was swept by the city without notice, and at this time we have been unable to recover it. The nature of this work means sweeps are inevitable, but when we lose one, we are hoping to build two and come back even stronger.
