Earth Beat — Youth Brotherhood Experience | Bros NZ
Published on April 3, 2023 by Billy Lewis
Bros NZ was fortunate enough to be welcomed to Earth Beat Festival at Atiu Creek in March 2023, where we offered an experience for young men to explore connection, brotherhood & masculinity.
Together with a team of 11 facilitators, we created a space for our tamariki to play, connect, share and be challenged. We were also challenged in this, to deliver an experience that both supported the young men to shine, as well as to push their boundaries. What we learned was that once a container is created, with the right support, it can be held to offer powerful transformation.

We finished our workshop by taking the energy of the experience back in to the festival and sharing a chant/song with the festival which you can see in the background. While our intention for the workshop was to bridge the intergenerational gap from elders to young men, we rejoined the festival as one.
