Beautiful Solutions MCP, the Season 2 retrospective, and our first backer
Beautiful Solutions is now an MCP server. It holds 85 entries from Beautiful Trouble's online toolbox of solidarity-economy practice — 8 values, 10 principles, 8 questions, 27 solutions and 32 stories, with cases from Argentina to Zimbabwe. You can ask it to map a challenge across the toolbox, or to compare two approaches. Every answer links back to the source entry and carries its licence.
The source book was made by Beautiful Trouble with the New Economy Coalition, People's Hub and the Highlander Center, drawing on more than seventy contributors. This is an independent adaptation, not an endorsement by them. The dataset is CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 and the code is MIT, so commercial use needs separate permission.
It joins Think Like a Commoner, Governable Spaces and Plurality at bookpower.org. To connect it in Claude Desktop or Claude Code, use the server URL https://beautiful-solutions-mcp-production.up.railway.app/mcp. Source: github.com/zhiganov/beautiful-solutions-mcp.
The Season 2 retrospective is still open
Ten people came to the Season 2 Town Hall on 30 July. We demoed My Community and Community Admin, and heard DDS news from Nicolas.
The Season 2 Retrospective is still open, with four members through it so far. It runs async, so anyone who could not make the call can still shape the record: what worked, what didn't, and what members still owe each other. It gets read before the next town hall, and no date is set for that yet.
Our first backer
CIBC received its first Open Collective contribution during the July call. It covers the one-time fiscal-hosting fee owed to The Social Change Nest. Thank you.
