We're putting on an Alternative Pride with no corporate sponsors or cops, dedicated to honouring Pride's radical roots.
We're anticipating spending £500-550 across the three events. Calculating based on our current financial situation -- taking into account the funds we currently have, the invoices we're awaiting, the amount we're expecting to spend on events before Alt Pride, and the recurring donations we're expecting -- we want to raise £150-200 to cover the gap. More funds will help us make the event more fun and accessible, cover more costs for performers and workshoppers, and manage unexpected expenses.
The money will be used for venue hire, performance equipment hire, performer and workshopper expenses, soft drinks and related paraphernalia, snacks to sustain our crew, and loo roll (just in case!). We may incur more expenses as we plan.
Below are the details of the three events that make up Alternative Pride 2025:

Variety Show
Time: Friday 15th August, 7.30pm (doors) - 11pm
Place: NCI Centre, Holland Street CB4 3DL
Picnic
Time: Saturday 16th August, 1-5pm
Place: Jesus Green, near the skatepark
Makers' Market
Time: Saturday 23rd August, 2-5pm
Place: The Blue Moon, Norfolk Street CB1 2LF
