Open Collective?
Money collected via this will be used solely to developing (and maintaining) the game, this will include server costs, paying staff/moderation, contract development (external), and other associated costs.
Our other source of income is through s&box's playfund which covers the time costs and motivation for the project lead.
Donations are optional, we're simply offering supporters a way to help fund development. 100% of contributions will be used exclusively for game-related expenses.
The cool thing about this platform is transparency, all donations and expenses will be tracked and publicly viewable, and we would like to be held accountable for the use of this capital.
Plans
Development of DXRP is still in its early days, we have a solid foundation but still lack some major features of our predecessor.
s&box is still an early days platform/engine and DXRP is an WIP game, both of which present challenges but eventually we'd hope to push forward and come out on top.
