GMQ Hanging is to memorialise & celebrate those lives lost & destroyed in the Grenfell Tower tragedy. Our aim is to raise awareness about Grenfell cause & the long struggle for Justice. #sewingforjustice 💚
Sewing for Justice is sewing a 220ft x 72ft Memorial Quilt Hanging to raise awareness for the Grenfell Tower atrocity. Support our cause to support the bereaved, next-of-kin, survivors & those that care on this long difficult struggle for justice. Â We have grown to become a community of Craftivists, Artivists & an army of Sewers locally, nationally & internationally. Grenfell Memorial Quilt (GMQ)is a Fabric art community project sewing to commemorate & celebrate those 72 people who suffered & died in the Grenfell Tower inferno. Â Our pop-up sewing bees have become an outlet for the emotions of those affected. Everyone is welcome to come sew, stitch & embroider.Â
