Help Mohamed* Rebuild His Life
Mohamed arrived in Europe this March, hoping to seek asylum and find safety. While crossing a forest on foot to reach Bulgaria, he fell and suffered severe injuries. He was found and taken to a hospital, where doctors told him he needed urgent back surgery costing €5,000.
Before we could raise the necessary funds, Mohamed was told by the authorities that because he couldn’t pay, he would be taken to a closed camp. He was transferred to one of the closed camps in Bulgaria that functions like a prison.
After weeks in inhumane conditions, Mohamed was finally released into an open camp. But his asylum application has been rejected, and now he faces being evicted with nowhere to go and no access to any resources.
Mohamed can no longer access healthcare in Bulgaria for his back injury. He urgently needs your help to continue his journey and reach a place where he can safely claim asylum and receive the treatment he desperately needs. We are aiming to raise €1200 so he can move forward.
