About

IATI Studio is a nonprofit digital content curation studio launched by the Humanitarian AI Meetup community. The studio helps nonprofits and their supporters channel information on activities, transactions and results through open data sharing frameworks like IATI to make the information accessible to emerging artificial intelligent applications, chatbots and virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa

IATI is an XML standard widely used across the humanitarian community by organizations to convert information on aid activities, transactions and results into a format that's traversable by machine applications. In this format, the the data can also be used to fine-tune powerful new generalized machine learning models. The studio concentrates on helping nonprofits and their supporters get acquainted with IATI, publish their first IATI XML files and curate their digital information streams exposed to today and tomorrow’s new intelligent question answering applications.

IATI Studio works towards "helping create a future where people involved in humanitarian situations have access to the data they need, when and how they need it, to make responsible and informed decisions" which is a prime United Nations goal and something that's valuable to nonprofits and donors alike.
