What Happened in July?
Published on August 1, 2025 by Lucie Anglade
Hello!
In July, WeasyPrint v66.0 has been released 🎉
Thanks to the financial support of the NLnet Foundation, PDF/UA support is now better!
Footnotes, min-max content calculation and out-of-flow boxes management have also been improved thanks to Code & Co., Menutech and Pathfindr.
Other notables improvements include better page breaks for tables, support of lh and rlh units, small fixes on flex layout… and more 🤯.
You can read more about this release in our blog article 📰.
And thanks a lot to the contributors 💜
We can start now to work on the last item sponsorised by the NLnet Foundation: CMYK support 🌈!
Beside this new WeasyPrint version, we also worked on CSS specifications with Julie Blanc and Julien Taquet from Paged.js and submitted a proposal to the W3C for notes.
If you’re interested in this subject, don’t hesitate to have a look and take part to the discussion on the related GitHub issue 👀.
That’s all for this month!
