A Great Meeting at Maleva 49: Da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Van Gogh in Kohtla-Järve...
Published on May 12, 2026 by Serhii Zlotnikov

In the history of art, these names could never have met in the same studio. But in our "Creativity Lab" at Maleva 49, it became possible! This week, we hosted an event that could be called a "dialogue of eras."

Leonardo is shaking hands with our meeting participants!
The legendary German brand da Vinci, named after the greatest genius of the Renaissance, sent us their professional brushes. Holding such a tool in your hands, you feel the responsibility and inspiration of Leonardo himself. But the magic doesn't end there.
At our meetings, every stroke—every brushstroke—is now a meeting of legends!
The da Vinci brush is found on a palette with Royal Talens paints, proudly bearing the names of Rembrandt and Van Gogh. Leonardo's precision and discipline combine with Rembrandt's profound light and Van Gogh's passionate color.
But the most astonishing thing happens when these great shadows of the past meet our protagonists—the elderly residents of Ida-Virumaa. When an elderly person picks up a da Vinci brush to apply a brushstroke of Van Gogh paint, they cease to be simply a "recipient of a social service." They become a Master, continuing the work of the greats.

Gratitude for the Trust
We sincerely thank da Vinci and
for this generous gift and the opportunity to create!

This "meeting of titans" was made possible thanks to the support of the city of Kohtla-Järve. By providing us with a "common home" at Maleva 49, the city has created a space where art history comes to life in the hands of ordinary people. When global brands see such a foundation, they are happy to help.
