On the 16th of February 2026 Deternet applied for a non profit (Stichting) status in the Netherlands at Broekema Notaris. Since, they were interested in the project they kindly reduced the tariff to 400 EUR for the whole process.  It is now waiting until the 20th of March for it to become official. Besides we also hope to receive an ANBI status that will allow us to receive donations without needing to pay the so called "schenk belasting" (Gift Taxes) and it allows (Dutch) donators to write it off their taxes.
