Emergency Barrister Funding

We are fundraising for our friend T’s legal costs. She needs support raising money to pay for her barrister as, having lived in the UK for over 7 years, she has been refused by the Home Office again and urgently needs to appeal. All her asylum support has been withdrawn.

As with many people who have sought safety in the UK, T’s life would be at risk if she was returned to her country because of her sexuality. We are calling on queers, comrades and community to come together to raise £700 to cover the cost of her barrister. Any further funds will support T with her basic living expenses. As she has no recourse to public funds and no access to asylum support, we turn to community to keep her safe.

T’s strength and resilience cannot be understated. She is continuing to support her children from afar. She has a loving partner and provides beautiful support and guidance to other community members who share her struggle.
