Empty Bowls Fundraiser March 27- Support FAVOR, get soup & a beautiful handmade bowl!
Published on March 14, 2022 by Janna Cohen-Rosenthal

Dear FAVOR friends,

We are excited to invite you to the 1st Annual Roslindale/Hyde Park Empty Bowls Project on Sunday, March 27 to support our ongoing food relief efforts in Roslindale!

Now more than ever, our food insecure community members need support. The Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.

Join us on Sunday, March 27th from 5-8 pm at the Roslindale Substation (4228 Washington Street in Roslindale Village) and choose a ceramic bowl handmade by artists from Create: Art in Community and other local potters. Fill your bowl with delicious soups from local restaurants, and learn about food justice efforts in our neighborhood and how you can get involved.  Then take your bowl home to keep, as a reminder of hunger in our community.

The suggested donation is $25 per person; please pay what you can (donations of more or less are gladly accepted). Kids under 12 eat free.

Proceeds benefit the member organizations of the Roslindale/Hyde Park Neighborhood Food Action Collaborative (NFAC): Food Access Volunteers of Roslindale (FAVOR), the Roslindale Food Collective (RFC) & the Hyde Park Food Pop-Up. Funds will go directly towards providing fresh culturally appropriate fruit & vegetables to our community members!

Thank you,
Your neighbors at Food Volunteers of Roslindale

P.S.  If you want to volunteer at the event, too, please sign up, Thanks!
