Minute of FoFS Collective 24/11/25

1. In attendance: MT, BC, MR, SS, JI, VW, PG, CG, apologies ZC, GS
2. Waverley Park - Levelling Up fund scheme hoping for spring start date, contracts imminent, football pitches and pavilion to be done during close season. Autumn completion. Slight scheme adjustment on extra car park but rest of scheme on track.
3. Paul’s Pad - grass cutting ok, fly tipping being cleared.
4. Planning applications - Ghafoor, comments submitted to appeal enquiry. Perry’s planning application for storage units still not completed. Council still waiting for completed application or will start enforcement. Maitland Mill now has a martial arts studio and car parking is worsening. To be reported. Also business off Delaware St with large trucks, fires, operating out of hours. St Matts Councillors to investigate.
5. Fly-tipping - alley gate audit could be a good task for the group. Council looking at more enforcement. Discussed potential of new alleygates.
6. Empty Properties - No progress on this yet.
7. Skeffington Rd grassed areas - discussed possibility of play equipment. Council officer suggested it is possible. Look out for funding opportunities.
8. A.O.B. - next meeting on Teams in January. Police will continue to be invited to this meeting. FoFS to consider helping start Friends of Waverley Park.
