LGBTQIA+ Refugees are Refugees
Published on June 20, 2024 by Yuki Julian "YukiDeer" Golovan

 Today is the Refugee Day
, a day to recognize the strength and resilience of refugees around the world. As we mark this day, we want to take time to highlight the experiences of LGBTQIA+ refugees, who face unique challenges and discrimination on their journey to safety.

Everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, deserves the right to live free from violence and persecution. Unfortunately, many LGBTQIA+ refugees face discrimination and violence not only in their home countries, but also in countries where they seek asylum. It is important that we continue to stand up for the rights of LGBTQIA+ refugees. We plan to assist LGBTQIA+ refugees each step of the way to their safety.

Let's come together to support and celebrate the importance of LGBTQIA+ refugees.
