Pride never ends.

Pride is never over. While we would never stop celebrating queer lives, queer joy and highlighting human rights violations towards our community. It is July, which means today also marks the Disability Pride, a month dedicated to highlighting struggle, strength and stories of all folks with disabilities.
Queer folks with disabilities are a minority within a minority. However, their numbers are never too small to be overlooked or uncelebrated. Not only do they face the pressure of being queer, but they also face the pressure of having a disability.
Whether physical, mental, visible or invisible, sensory, undiagnosed or diagnosed, no disability is invalid or worth less than any other. No story is less important.
The Disability pride flag designed by Ann Magill in 2019, with each color on the flag holding special meaning for folks with disabilities:
— Red symbolizes physical disabilities.
— Yellow represents cognitive and intellectual disabilities.
— White stands for undiagnosed and hidden disabilities.
— Blue signifies mental health disabilities.
— Green is for sensory disabilities.
— Black honors those with disabilities who have passed away due to illness, negligence, suicide, or eugenics.
In solidarity and in our unchanging tradition, the FUR/HELP logo now features the Disability Pride logo for the entirety of the month of July.
FUR/HELP stood and will forever stand with the Disabled community.
