Grant #208241 to Collective Imagination Practice Community

 Town Anywhere brings a wide cross section of people together to imagine, build and then inhabit a positive vision of how the place they share could develop in the future. What are the models for an alternative Town Centre? Can we imagine what a High Street would be like that’s based on low carbon and wellbeing, a place where the economic, social and cultural life of a town are interlinked? How would decisions be made? What forms of finance and exchange could we use? What and how would we come together to celebrate? Town Anywhere is a unique hands on creative visioning activity for groups of up to 200 people in person or 100 people online. Bringing the future to life through time travel, visioning, making and co-creating then coming back home to harvest the learning. Using 3D model making; immersive future scenarios and timed challenges this accessible and enjoyable visioning process will generate ideas and principles for developing not only a Town’s Governance and Community decision-making process but also Community Finance; Health, Care and Wellbeing; Goods and Services (including sourcing and selling); Communications; Celebrations and Culture; Streets, Open spaces & Connectivity; Food (including growing, sourcing, selling, cooking and sharing) 
N.B. this grant would be a contribution to the cost of this event with other funding from local sources
