During a dialogue with the nominated committee last Saturday, Landowners requested that we refer to legal consultation the critical clause of 1 Decimal (of land) = 1 Stewarding right (1 Vote + 1 Share), including the wetland holding rights and shares. Since we're working as regeneratively as possible, we will instead convene 1) the nominated committee (19 members); Policymakers (from Ministry of trade, Ministry of Lands & urban planning, Kampala City Authority, National Environment Authority); pro-bono legal providers; and Knowledge partners (indigenous + modern) to co-design an experiment around the proposed place stewarding/governance model. We believe this generates deeper collective will and confidence in the process we are undertaking.
