About
Make your own lamp from a block of wood, an upcycled jam jar and a strip of LEDs. Paint the inside of the jam jar to cast a more interesting shade. The final device will be powered by a regular phone charger cable. Jar, wood, screws, cable, etc. included. Plug to stick into a power socket not included. The light will consume about 2W of energy.

- Simple woodwork (using a rasp, a plane, a drill and a chisel)
- Simple electronics (just 4 solder joints)
- Paint the jar to decorate it. Alternatively cut paper or vinyl stickers to pattern it.
No experience necessary. Wear clothes you don't might getting sawdust on.
