jscpd 5.4.1 released
Published on October 9, 2026 by Andrey Kucherenko

jscpd 5.4.1 is out.
  • --similarity compares the structure of functions in 15 languages, including Python, Go, Rust, C# and Clojure, and finds every pair of look-alike functions above the ratio.
  • --changed reports the clones of the files you are working on, against a baseline of HEAD that jscpd keeps itself. --changed-only compares the changed files with one another.
  • A new edn reporter, and --report-name for running several tools into one reports folder.
  • The MCP server finds all four types of clones and compares two folders.
  • Fixes in --compare, --semantic and --dead-code.
Thank you to @pygarap, @MannXo, @mvanhorn, @MysterionRise and @mlavrinenko for the issues and pull requests behind this release, and to everyone who backs jscpd.
