Thank you very much for supporting us. I have noticed the Updates section got a bit neglected, so I just want to give a quick update here.
In KDE Plasma 5, we were using a heavily modified version of KWin in order to support the Android graphics stack. Rebasing these patches for KDE Plasma 6 would have been a lot of work for questionable benefit, so we've decided to try something different: emulate the standard Linux DRM and GBM graphics APIs to allow running any desktop environment inside Lindroid. This work is now generally available! Please see further details in Luka's update: (Below text is reposted from Telegram)
We are happy to say that nearly 1 year after 1st picture from lindroid-drm we are moving forward, with nearly production level support for KDE Plasma 6 and most apps (recent fixes include firefox, and that is already available on latest rootfs).
As you see lindroid-drm provides more then patching kwin ever would, updates of kwin will be a breath, and we have results confirming wlroot is quite functional with 0 patches as well. And as you see latest addition was mutter, that while still in development is probably more alive then ever before on hybris.
Large thanks to: @RealJohnGalt for his amazing work on kernel driver Nick for putting up with my whining @arpio1 from Droidian for valuable contributions to lindroid libhybris and tests TheKit for invaluable dynamic TLS patcher
