Lux is now packaged for Arch Linux
Published on February 4, 2026 by Marc Jakobi
Thanks to the fantastic work of @alerque, you no longer need an AUR helper to install Lux on Arch Linux.
The following packages are now available in the 'extra' repository:
- lux-cli
- lua-lux (or lua51-lux, lua52-lux, ...) for the lux-lua bindings library.
We have deleted the AUR packages, but will continue to publish the PKGBUILD and binary archive to our GitHub releases.
