First, I would like to thank everyone who has become a Patron. I truly appreciate your support, and as repayment you get my everlasting gratitude. I've decided to commit to developing Mihon full-time.

So, what's the plan moving forward?

Before that, a bit of history: Mihon's codebase is from Tachiyomi, which is now over a decade old (2015). While some parts of the app has been rewritten and updated over the years, the majority of its underlying framework is still based on older code. As a result, any major features would still require the app to undergo extensive rewrites first. Otherwise we'll have a bicycle with rockets attached and having to consistently make sure the rocket doesn't break the bicycle.

Now that I'm working on Mihon full-time, I'll be splitting my time 6:1, with 6 days working on rewriting Mihon from scratch while the 1 day will be on improving the current app version I'll spend majority of my time working on rewriting Mihon from scratch and spend the remaining time improving the current version . Patrons will receive updates on the development in form of short blogs. 

To wrap things up, there are currently no plan to produce merch. I just wanted to gauge if there was any interest.

P.S. I'm looking into giving OpenCollective contributors access to Patron only channels on Discord in a similar way to Patreon.
