2022 Reflections
Published on December 21, 2022 by Danielle
Our biggest update of the year 2022 is that we established our community with Open Collective Foundation and received funding from the Ford Foundation for activities in 2023. The infrastructural support of Open Collective Foundation will allow our community greater independence and flexibility to support the public interest tech (PIT) fellowship alumni community. With our previous partners, MDF, in 2022 we launched a fund with a mission to foster collaboration, engagement, and community building across the PIT alumni network. This fund awarded resources to six projects! We are already seeing activities and impact of these projects and look forward to reporting more in 2023.
In 2023, our Steering Committee is planning more activities strengthen the community of fellowship alumni in public interest technology. This will include virtual and in-person gatherings, as well as more news from the project activities of our 2022 grantees. Happy New Year and stay tuned!
