Podlite Desktop 0.9.0 is released

Podlite Desktop 0.9.0 is out. It is the free, open source editor for Podlite markup, on macOS, Windows and Linux.
The headline change is Markdown. A .md file now opens as its own document. Double-click it or drop it on the icon. The editor highlights Markdown and colours fenced code by the language named in the fence. Task items become real checkboxes in the preview. Podlite takes Markdown in as part of the language, and the editor runs on the same parser. So a .md file gets the same window, shortcuts and folding as a .podlite one.
Highlighting changed too. It used to scan one line at a time. Now it reads the parsed document tree that the preview renders from. Every markup code now gets its colour. Block names get a colour by kind. Settings inside a fence look the same in both formats.
Your backing is what keeps the editor, the parser, and the specification maintained between releases like this one.
Thank you to everyone backing Podlite. It matters.
