2025 Update & Privacy Guides Membership Announcement

Hello everyone,
It has been a while since we've posted here. When the Open Collective Foundation shut down in 2024, it left us scrambling to find a new fiscal host to support our project. We eventually found a fantastic one in MAGIC Grants, but we were not able to continue accepting donations here on the Open Collective platform through them, so we paused all recurring donations and directed people elsewhere.
All that being said, we've finally worked out this entire transition, and I'm writing to let you know about our new membership program we've recently launched to support our work.
Since the beginning of this year, we have paid a number of people full-time to take Privacy Guides to the next level. This was made possible by some extremely generous one-time donations, but to keep our momentum going in 2026 and beyond this work needs to be more sustainable, so starting soon some of the work that we are paying for will be limited to our members who pay for that content in return.
